About your job
At Spaceteams you will...
- plan, develop and continuously improve tailored, complex software solutions together with your team.
- take responsibility for entire projects – from concept through to release, always aligned with the product and customer vision.
- work out requirements together with Product Owners, customers and stakeholders.
- actively contribute to technology decisions and architectural questions.
- communicate clearly and reliably with customers, stakeholders and within the team.
- understand customers and respond to their needs, while also helping to adapt business processes within their organisations alongside the software.
- continuously improve the organisation and the way we work through regular syncs and retrospectives, and share your knowledge.
- actively shape our culture by contributing to internal projects as well, such as Spacetime or the further development of the organisation.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- several years of solid experience developing complex software systems and taking end-to-end responsibility for them over longer project durations.
- experience across several projects that went beyond pure feature development, for example involving multiple stakeholders, functional complexity or a tangible impact on customers’ business processes.
- the ability to make technical decisions within a team and assess their impact on the overall system.
- confidence working across different areas of software development, particularly frontend and backend, and a willingness to take responsibility across system boundaries.
- experience working with different stakeholders, such as Product Owners, business departments and customers, as well as in requirements engineering.
- the ability to structure complex problems and turn them into robust, sustainable solutions.
- a very good university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field – alternatively, a comparable qualification with demonstrably relevant practical experience.
- very good German language skills, at least C1 level, for discussing complex functional topics with customers.
- good English language skills.
- valid authorisation to work in Germany; we are currently unable to offer visa or relocation sponsorship for this position.
- a regular place of work in Germany and a willingness to attend on-site meetings in Hamburg on a regular basis.
Nice-to-have:
- you enjoy working on solutions as part of a team and see shared responsibility as a prerequisite for good results.
- you have experience working on larger overall initiatives, such as migrations, system replacements or complex platform projects, where technical decisions have an impact over a longer period of time.
- you are familiar with agile ways of working and take a pragmatic approach to change.
- you have initial or more in-depth experience with cloud or DevOps topics.
- you actively contribute to improving processes and collaboration.
- you enjoy sharing your knowledge with the team and supporting others whenever needed.
